Granville Island, Vancouver’s renowned marketplace, recognized the need to enhance its exterior lighting for improved visibility. As a vibrant hub hosting diverse activities, the challenge lay in selecting lighting fixtures that not only met functional requirements but also seamlessly integrated with the island’s rich cultural and artistic ambiance. Stantec, a global design and engineering firm, turned to solutions from Bock Lighting for their quality modern lighting solutions that could naturally complement Granville Island’s unique charm.

For the project, Stantec specified Bock Lighting’s Salt Ballasted Cone and Emblem Sign fixtures. The Salt Ballasted Cone fixtures, celebrated for their high-quality light output and distinctive design, were strategically positioned to illuminate key areas, ensuring a visually appealing and well-lit environment. The Emblem Sign fixtures were carefully chosen to accentuate the iconic “Granville Island Public Market” sign, creating a captivating visual impact.
