Our Community Giving Back To Our Communities

Making a difference by supporting communities around BC. How Mac’s II Agencies gives back.

VALUES IN ACTIONCommunity Involvement

Community and connection are at the heart of Mac’s II and our entire team knows these values extend beyond our business. Getting involved in community programs and initiatives where our expertise can make a difference, or where donating time is needed, is one of the many ways we give back. We’re always looking to help, and these are some of the ways our team is paying it forward in BC communities and in the electrical industry.

Our Charity
Contributions

Terry Fox Run

From 2023 to 2025, we’ve laced up our shoes to support the Terry Fox Run, and we look forward to many more years of rallying communities, raising funds, and spreading awareness for cancer research. Together, we honour Terry Fox’s spirit and legacy, bringing hope and healing to those battling cancer.

This year, our Victoria Team continued the Marathon of Hope and exceeded their fundraising goal, raising $1,255 for cancer research! Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support as we continue the marathon of hope.

Proudly Canadian Fest

At our Proudly Canadian Fest: A Mac’s II Agencies Open House, we turned laughter into impact—raising $750 for the Betty Lou Pacey Education Relief Fund!

With every pitch-perfect throw into the dunk tank (featuring some very brave vendors and Mac’s II team members), we were reminded of the power of community and good fun for a good cause.

The fund honours the late Betty Lou Pacey, a longtime BCEA board member and true icon in the electrical industry. It supports individuals who’ve made an impact in the industry by helping with education costs and student loans—continuing Betty Lou’s legacy of mentorship and excellence.

The Valley GranFondo

After a strong ride at last year’s Tour de Cure, Mac’s Force II is back in the saddle—this time at the 2025 Valley GranFondo in Fort Langley.

Kicking off our two-event challenge for the year, the team rode an impressive 130 km through the scenic Fraser Valley, all to raise funds for the BC Cancer Foundation. It’s the first of two big rides the team is committed to in 2025, and we’re just getting started.

With your support, we’re aiming to beat last year’s fundraising total and make an even greater impact in the fight against cancer.

Help us reach—and beat—our 2025 goal! Every contribution counts.

Tour De Cure

In 2024, Mac’s Force II took part in our first-ever Tour de Cure ride, a two-day cycling event from Cloverdale to Hope, raising funds for BC Cancer. Cancer has touched many of our lives, and this ride was our way of giving back to the community. We’re proud to have raised over $30,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation, supporting those fighting this battle.

This journey was a powerful experience for our team, uniting us with a shared purpose. We look forward to continuing our support and inspiring others to join the fight against cancer.

International Women’s Day

On International Women’s Day, Mac’s II celebrates by donating to a charitable organization chosen by the amazing women on our team! This year, they selected the Ending Violence Association of BC to receive a $500 donation—supporting vital initiatives that work to end gender-based violence and create safer communities.

Macs II Agencies Community Charity Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada

Since 2018, the Mac’s II team has been supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities meal program. This program gives the 73 families who stay at Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon each night a homemade meal. It’s a way to help create a feeling of home when being at home isn’t possible and a way to help families focus on having a meal with their kids.

The Mac’s II team has come together year after year to cook a healthy, nutritious, and delicious meal for the families at the house. We continue to raise money and donate our time to support the amazing work Ronald McDonald House Charities is doing with the Family Meal program.

Sean’s Gift of Sharing Toy Drive

Sean was just three years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia.

On his final birthday at age seven, Sean received gifts from friends and family throughout the province. When he realized how many gifts he received, he turned to his mother and asked if he could share them with his friends in the oncology ward.

Sharing the joy and excitement with all his friends was the happiest Sean’s mom had ever seen him. From that day on, Sean’s mom kept his memory alive with Sean’s Gift of Sharing, an annual toy drive where all gifts are given to the patients in BC Children’s Hospital’s oncology ward.

The Mac’s II team aims to keep this tradition going by collecting toys and donations and donating them to the BCCH.

Macs II Agencies Community Charity Union Gospel Mission Clothing

Union Gospel Mission Clothing + Blanket Drive

The Union Gospel Mission Clothing and Blanket Drive is a drive to help build funds in order to distribute emergency food hampers, grocery gift cards, hygiene products, and clothing to those in need. We’re proud of our team at Mac’s II for creating a large donation in 2022 and look forward to continuing to support this cause.

2021 Wildfire Firefighter Supply Rally

In 2021, during the South Cariboo wildfires, we organized a supply rally for firefighters ensuring they had access to basic essentials they couldn’t easily obtain. From soap and shampoo to bug spray, snacks, pillows, and feminine hygiene products, we aimed to support those on the front lines.

Collaborating with the local Girl Guides, we packaged the supplies, and our team engaged with coordinators and firefighters at the camp to understand their needs better. We also reached out to the community through the local radio station, seeking donations of time and supplies to aid those working tirelessly to protect our homes.
