Overview
Nestled in Vancouver’s sought-after neighbourhoods, the Palmerston Modern home was reimagined from the ground up. Homeowners opted for a brand-new build on their cherished property, creating a modern sanctuary with clean architectural lines and a soft, neutral palette of whites and taupes. Interior designer Lindsay Eby masterfully curated every detail, crafting a space where simplicity shines and future additions—like art—can take centre stage.
We worked closely with Lindsay to complement her design vision through expertly placed lighting. Trimless Sigma and Luna downlights from Liteline are featured throughout the home, providing seamless ambient lighting that enhances its clean aesthetic. To add a layer of visual interest, BL Lighting linear lighting was thoughtfully integrated in innovative ways:
- Illuminating the under-cabinet in the laundry room.
- Defining the connection between the kitchen and living room with elegant cove lighting.
- Highlighting a modern headboard with vertical and horizontal alcove lighting.
- Creating a soft, impactful glow behind a large circular mirror in the bathroom.
One of the standout features is the lighting woven into the staircase design. Liteline linear lighting was installed beneath each tread, leading to the casual workspace integrated into the lower floor, marrying functionality with modern artistry. Additionally, WAC Lighting’s trimless step lights were installed on the landing and the top set of stairs, where the space is open, adding a touch of sophistication.
This project underscores how thoughtful lighting can elevate every corner of a home, balancing beauty and practicality in perfect harmony.
