Enterprise Paper, a proudly family-operated Canadian business, embarked on an ambitious tenant improvement project that required a sophisticated and efficient lighting solution. Mac’s II Agencies partnered with Can-Tec Electrical Services Ltd. on this design-assist project, aiming to meet stringent budget and time constraints while delivering a high-quality lighting package for the Coquitlam based business. In collaboration with Wesco, Mac’s II Agencies leveraged their design team’s expertise to develop a comprehensive lighting package that perfectly met the client’s needs.

A significant portion of the project focused on integrating acoustic luminaires into high-traffic areas, such as Enterprise Paper’s lunchroom. These luminaires, provided by Edison Lighting, feature Eco Felt Acoustic panels that absorb ambient noise, creating a quieter, more pleasant environment. The Sonic acoustic series from Edison Lighting was used extensively, with luminaires suspended in various shapes—including linear, ring, cylindrical, and drum forms—throughout the office. The availability of these panels in different colours allowed for alignment with Enterprise Paper’s brand, making the entire space feel cohesive and in line with their identity.

To enhance visual impact and functionality, Cooper Lighting’s Metalux troffers (GRLED series) were used. These troffers were cleverly elevated and surrounded by shadow boxes, transforming them into striking elements that added character and depth to the space. The geometrical pattern created with the encased troffers and patterned acoustic panels, provided both sufficient ambient LED light and a visually appealing design.

Additionally, the office space featured several Cooper Lighting HALO downlights, known for their powerful illumination. These downlights contributed to the overall brightness and functionality of the workspace, ensuring that all areas were well-lit.

The sleek, soft-lined linear LEDs from the Prime family by Axis Lighting were another key component of the lighting design. These fixtures, both pendant and surface-mounted, added a sophisticated touch to the space. Their rounded wedge forms provided contrast when slotted between the clean-cut acoustic panels. The ED RING+ circular architectural luminaires from Edison Lighting also added a stylish contrast against hard linear lines in the presentation-style areas.

For our neighbour at Enterprise Paper, the design-assist project with Can-Tec Electrical Services Ltd., RED Design and Wesco illuminated more than just their office space. It highlighted the strength of collaboration and innovative design. By integrating advanced lighting technologies, we delivered a comprehensive solution that met all complex requirements, proving that great partnerships can light up spaces with brilliance and efficiency.
